Requirements
ProofPress installs as a plugin in your WordPress and opens a whole new system in there. We like to call it “a system inside a system.” But be aware that you need to have a self-hosted blog on an actual domain that belongs to you and NOT one of those “johndoe.wordpress.com” blogs.
You can use ProofPress if:
1. You have a WordPress site installed on your own hosting
2. See point 1 ![]()
What is WordPress?
WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. You can find more information here: www.wordpress.org
I have a Blog but it’s not on WordPress, what shall I do?
ProofPress only works on WordPress and is not available as a stand-alone version. If you want to use ProofPress you will need a WordPress self-hosted blog-site. WordPress is free and you can always download and install it on your server. There is a myriad of free and cheaper templates, but if you are looking for a custom solution which would go together with your brand you can always try one of our partners: Vitriol Consult or Luxecetera.
*** ProofPress will now work on WordPress.com hosted blogs
What about Hosting?
If your WordPress installation works on your present hosting service it’s more than probable ProofPress will work as well. We however recommend you to have a hosting service with unlimited bandwidth and space due to the fact that a self-hosted Photo Cart System like ProofPress can use much of these resources. If you are looking for a great hosting solution we recommend Hostgator‘s Business Plan. For more information please Click Here.
